Phil Kawesch MA, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker with over 35 years of experience as a psychotherapist.

He has a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina; a second Master's degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work. He also completed 6 years of training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the Metropolitan Community for Psychotherapy.

After working in the public sector (Board of Education & Albert Einstein College of Medicine), he founded a center for psychotherapy called Counseling & Psychotherapy of Throggs Neck, where we provided service to over 17,000 Bronx residents.

Phil was awarded two commendations by two different Mayors of NYC for his service to New Yorkers.

Phil was specially elected and granted the honor to carry the Olympic Torch through the streets of NYC for the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.

His work in the field of Child Neglect & Abuse has been cited by The New York Times.
